Using Virtual Controllers for Modeling of Temperature
Control Systems under Canned Food Pasteurization |

Joint application of virtual controllers and programs for numerical modeling of the control object behavior uses to determine the type
and parameters of regulator of temperature of canned food environment during pasteurization. The effect of heat treatment for the selected
assortment, pasteurization formula and temperature control law is evaluated by a numerical modeling program. The inertia of thermal
processes allows the regulator function to be assigned to a virtual controller that communicates with the user interface and the modeling
module through OPC servers. A methodic for control system modeling in an autoclave is proposed. Approbation of the procedure using the
virtual controller of the CoDeSys software demonstrates the advantage of the state regulator for other regulators in the temperature control
in the autoclave chamber during pasteurization of delicatessen canned food. The virtualization reduces costs when choosing the type and
parameters of the regulation law based on estimates of overregulation and the value of the sterilizing effect. The widespread applying of
virtual controllers is predicted not only in the fi elds of education and research, but also in the fi eld of industrial production.
